SHORT SPIRAL FSC® beech wood dowel pin is not on stock in all sizes, but can be produced in following sizes:

3 / 4 mm (only lain/smooth), contact us for more information.

5 / 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 .

LENGTH/MM:

11 / 12 / 13 / 14 / 15 / 16 / 17 / 18.

But we have also made shorter dowel pins.

Length: +/- 0,5 mm

Humidity: 7-9 %

WOOD & QUALITY:

SHORT SPIRAL beech wood are sorted manually.

First the wood with knots or wood where yearring direction crosses the length of the dowel is removed.

Subsequently dowels shortened and compressed.

In this process the wood is subjected to a pressure which means that if there are any vulnerabilities in the wood, it will simply burst.

This ensures that only the best wood which comes out to our customers as SHORT SPIRAL beech wood dowel pin.

Jyderup Dyvelfabrik A/S is a specialist in producing SHORT SPIRAL FSC® beech wood dowelpin.

Glue lines are pressed into the smooth round stick. On the larger sizes from 7 mm to 16 mm the glue lines are like a spiral that winds around the rod, but on the smaller sizes from 5 mm to 6 mm, it will be in a straight groove, as the dowelpin otherwise breaks in our machines.

The dowelpin is then compressed by 0,1 mm, for example from 10,1 to 10,0 mm. The compression is often much larger on the SHORT SPIRAL beech wood dowel pin than on the SPIRAL beech wood dowelpin.

This production method is used only by Jyderup Dyvelfabrik A/S.

On the SHORT SPIRAL beech wood dowelpin the chamfer is very small on the length 13-18 mm and almost not present on lengths smaller than 13 mm.
